Marinading beef This is a marinade that can be used on many different cuts of beef. We came up with it for a rib roast but have also used it on steaks. It’s quick and simple to prepare, marinade times can be an hour for steaks up to overnight for joints. After marinading, rub your beef with sea salt and cracked black pepper and be prepared for some delicious beef.

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup Japanese soy sauce – we use kikkoman
  • 1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce – we use Frank’s
  • 2 tbsp dark muscovado sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cloves of garlic – crushed by hand
  • 1/2 small onion – chopped
Method:
  • Mix everything apart from the onion together in a large bowl
  • Dilute with a little water if desired
  • Pour chopped onion in to the bowl so it forms a bed at the bottom
  • Place beef on the bed of onion
  • Around half an hour before cooking, remove beef and rub with sea salt and cracked black pepper.
  • After half your marinade time, flip the beef.
